Some things you may not know..

This was the trip that really kick-started my photography journey three years ago. I went to Europe, and everything in Europe is beautiful so it's sort of difficult to take a bad picture. Do you know what I mean? It's like going to the mountains, where everything in sight is breath-taking so it is absolutely impossible to take a bad picture. I want to share some of my older stuff with you, some of my Lifestyle shots from Europe because I love them so much. Maybe it's sentimentality but... why not?? I figured I would start to show you some of my older Lifestyle work :) Contrary to popular belief, I do not take just portrait pictures. Those are some of my favorites but I love to snap away at the things around me. These pictures in particular are from my trip to Europe three years ago. It was the most incredible trip I have taken overseas... in fact, my ONLY trip I have ever taken over seas. I hope you enjoy!

This was taken from inside a restaurant at Mont St. Michel in France.

This is the door to Notre Dame.

Easter morning at a church in Normandy
Outside of Heathrow Airport... beautiful, morning

One thing I love to do is print photos - if you are interested in ordering a print of any of the pictures you see on the Blog, please feel free to email me at photos@kimberlyflorence.com.

Hope y'all have a wonderful day :)

A Morning at Rosemount: Spotsylvania, CA

There are so many beautiful areas in the county of Spotsylvania, VA. More than the average person might know. Lucky for me, I get to drive to a lot of places and see a lot of awesome things. That is just the perk of being involved in an off-campus extracurricular. I would not trade that for anything, I love driving and I love exploring and seeing new things. Recently, I got to go to Rosemount Farm in Spotsylvania, just a little bit down the road from Courtland High (where I lead YoungLife), and it was absolutely beautiful. It was early in the morning... early for me at least. It was 7:30 AM, and usually I am not up until at least 8:30 every day. at least. So being out during the morning hours was great for me this day. It was absolutely beautiful, the clouds were low, the fog was out, and the sun was just peaking through the clouds as I drove up to Rosemount where I met my friend Sarah. Here are some of the pictures from our morning together :)

Sarah and her beautiful horse, Chachi.

Can we talk about how incredibly BEAUTIFUL this morning was?

And there was this adorable cat who just didn't want to leave alone.

 Such a majestic horse.
We had to keep fixing Hannah's helmet, because it was WAY too big on her!

Little Hannah, sweet, sweet Hannah... so happy riding Chachi

Monica: Senior Portraits, Fredericksburg

You. Guys. Let me just tell you a little bit about Monica. Besides the fact that she is absolutely beautiful, she is super smart, and even though she told me she has never modeled before... I have a REALLY hard time believing her! She is stunning. Being in front of the camera was so natural for her, I seriously thought she had been doing this for years! Unbelievable. What started as a semi-cloudy day ended with a very beautiful sunset and a really warm day. Our time together was perfect and I hope you enjoy our photos!!

WOW - one of my favorites. The sun in the background made our pictures SO much fun!

You are so beautiful, Monica!

Check. This. Out... This girl is too cute

Wow. Wow. Wow.

My absolute favorite. Hands down.

Hope you enjoyed :)

One Note Stand, University of Mary Washington Co-Ed A'Capella

There are so many things about my Freshman year of college that I look back and I ask myself, why. Why did I do that crazy thing? But one thing I never ask myself WHY about all began one summer night, during the first week of classes, in a classroom in the theatre building... with 75 other students. I auditioned for The One Note Stand. Leading up to college, I had always been a singer. I was in every ensemble you could possibly join, except for the all-male a'capella groups of course, and I performed in two musicals throughout high school as well. And I loved it. I mean loved it. I knew I wanted to keep singing. It was easy, it was something I was good at, and it made me really happy. I sang in One Note Stand for a little over a year, and then my other commitments (mainly Photo and Young Life) started to play a bigger and bigger role in my life. During that year though, I met some incredible people. People who found so much joy in expressing themselves through musical composition and creativity. We sang, we danced, we laughed, we yelled, and we sang some more.

The other night, I got the privilege of taking their photos for them (which will be used for their website and for an invitational they will be singing at Richmond Rhythm later this month). They were so much fun to be with. Although the members of the group have changed quite a bit since I sang with them, the group has the same energy, if not more. We had SO much fun the other night... I accidentally took up their entire rehearsal time to take pictures of them. I couldn't stop though. They are just a really attractive group of people. I hope y'all had as much fun as I did! And I hope the rest of your rehearsal (all 15 minutes of it) went well... you guys are great at what you do. Keep singing. Keep loving each other. Keep laughing and sharing your music with people.

ENJOY! You guys rock.
