I had a revelation.

Lately, things have been slow in the photography world. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise, but I don't think that's why it's been slow. I was hoping to book my first wedding, but it hasn't happened yet. And that's OK! I'm still so young, and I am learning just how much of a process this is going to be. But, I want to take pictures... and I feel like I'm running out of things, or subjects rather, to take pictures of. For the last few weeks I've been asking myself, How am I going to make this work? What's the purpose? Why am I even trying this? Maybe this isn't really what I'm called to do in my life. But I don't think that's the case.

So, I had a revelation. I'm in Richmond, at a Young Life Conference with a lot of people I love. We're in this mission together, and it's so good to be with everyone. I was in one of the sessions, and I had an ah-HA moment. And I thought, "why don't I run a workshop with High School girls?" I get asked a LOT by my high school friends if we can have a group photo session, or if we can go out shooting together. And maybe, at this time in my life, instead of trying to advance into a very professional field before I am ready, I can use what I know to teach other girls, hang out with them, and have a great time.

This is the idea.... I'll run a Workshop this spring. I will happen on a saturday. You're probably asking, what are we going to learn in this Workshop? This:
- Manuel Settings on your SLR
- Lighting Conditions: Outdoor and Indoor
- What do you really need to do to take a good picture?!?

If you're interested, definitely let me know and don't be afraid to ask. If you're in High School.... this is definitely geared towards you :)
